General

• Authors reserve and retain the copyright to their articles.

• All articles submitted by you must be written/authored by you and not copied from another author. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you have hired a ghost writer, you agree that you have exclusive rights to each article you submit.

• You understand Article Submission does NOT mean your articles will be automatically accepted and listed in the The WAHM Shack Article Directory. The WAHM Shack Article Directory has the sole authority to accept or reject any article for any reason. If published, we reserve the right to remove any article at any time. If your article is not upto the general standards of our guidelines, we will indicate the reason for rejection in your rejection email notice.

• Your article should serve to educate and inform rather than just serve as a promotional piece. Include How To's, Tips, Strategies, Techniques, Case-studies, Analysis, Opinions and/or Commentary in your articles from your own experience.

• The WAHM Shack Article Directory reserves the right to publish your articles anywhere on our website, blog or syndicate through RSS Feeds. Users of The WAHM Shack Article Directory have the right to publish your articles on their website or blog, in their newsletter or ezine, or in their printed publication as long as the article remains unchanged and in its original state, including the resource box giving you credit as the author, and all links within the article or resource box are kept active/live.

• Only submit FAMILY-FRIENDLY articles! Offensive content will be cause for immediate account termination. We will only accept articles pertaining to Work At Home and Family related topics such as business, marketing, technology, parenting, babies, toddlers, teens, resources for families, education, budgeting, meal preparation, health, holidays/occasions, organization, home management, etc. All articles pertaining to off topic subjects will be deleted.

• The WAHM Shack Article Directory will NOT accept: articles containing ANY of the following: Any content that is a violation of any law; profanity; sexist or sexually explicit material; pornography; violent, hateful, or racist content; gambling; promoting the use of alcohol, tobacco, or related products; drugs of any type (prescription or otherwise); drug paraphernalia; or content supporting terrorism, use of weapons or firearms, or construction of bombs or explosives.

  Categories

• You may submit an article to one category only. Choose the best existing category or sub-category based on the theme of your article and not the theme of your business. If you don't see a category listed that you feel is most appropriate for the subject matter of your article, please Contact Us with your category suggestion.

• We reserve the right to place your article in a different category than you selected.

  Title

• Do not use ALL CAPS in the article title.

• Your article title must be in Title Case (i.e., I Write Great Articles)--The first letter of each word is capitalized.

• Do not use ( " ) ( ' ) or ( / ) in your article title. Any of these will generally create problems with your article listing.

• No author or website name or url is allowed in the title.

• No HTML tags are allowed in the title.

• Do not put a "period" or "full stop" at the end of the title.

• Your article title can be up to 150 characters in length.

  Summary

• No contact information, links, or urls are allowed in the article summary section.

• The article summary can be up to 500 characters in length.

  Body

• Your article should be written in English for publication to English speaking/reading countries.

• Do NOT repeat the article title in the article body.

• An article must contain a minimum of 200 words. Less than 200 words does not amount to much more than an advertisement. We are looking for actual, informative and original content.

• Your article must be spell checked and proofread for grammatical errors prior to submitting.

• The following HTML tags ARE allowed in the article body:
  • Bold
  • Italics
  • Blockquote – to indent text
• The following HTML tags ARE NOT allowed in the article body:
  • Paragraph tag
  • Break tag
  • Image tag
  • Font tag
  • Header tag
  • Horizontal rule tag

• Do not use affiliate links or links back to your website in the body of the article. Affiliate links and link backs to your website are only allowed in the Resource Box.

• Do not include any author contact information or details in the body of the article. The Resource Box is the correct place for this information.

• Download links are STRICTLY Forbidden. No direct links to any type of digital download are allowed.

• Do not use embedded links in the body of an article. If you are linking to a resource, then use the full url with proper "http:" protocol--we do not auto format urls that are in the body of your article.

  Resource Box

• The WAHM Shack Article Directory will NOT accept: Any articles with links (in the Article Body or Resource Box) to adult-oriented websites, including but not limited to, websites that contain nudity, pornography, sexual content, adult-oriented shopping sites, exploits children, animals or any human, or any other potentially offensive or illegal content promoting hatred, profanity, racism, bigotry, hacking, bomb building, terrorism or any other illegal and/or offensive activities.

• Do not use embedded links in your Bio/Resource Box. Use only full urls with the full "http:" protocol. This is the area to use html or the link will NOT be live. The non use of embedded links is for your benefit. When someone prints your article, the anchor text "Internet Marketing" will NOT bring them back to your site, but http://www.yoursite.com will.

• Code all your links to open to a NEW browser window. This leaves your article open for reference.

• EMAIL 'MAILTO:' LINKS:--We highly recommend including a link to your website in the Resource Box, but do not advocate including a mailto: or email link to your personal or work email account--Spammers will abuse it.

• You get 500 characters for your Resource Box for self-promotion. This includes your url and any email address you want to include.

• You may want to make an offer to readers to respond to in your Resource Box. Example: free newsletter, free e-Book, more information, etc. Give them a reason to visit your website.

  Keywords

• Adding keywords related to your article topic helps bring more traffic to your article.

• Put a comma between EACH keyword. Ideally, your keywords should be optimized based on the most commonly searched keywords for your particular topic. It helps to use a good keyword research tool to help you determine which ones are best to use.

• You should have a minimum of 4-5 keywords and a maximum of 25. We will not accept keywords that are completely unrelated to the content of your article.

• Your article keyword list cannot exceed 150 characters.
